How can marine biodiversity drive innovation in aquaculture and the sustainable use of marine resources? This was one of the key questions explored by Ocean4Biotech members at Aquaculture Europe 2026, held in Ljubljana from 29 September to 1 October. The conference brought together the aquaculture community from across Europe and beyond, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase marine biotechnology research and connect with researchers, industry representatives, and other professionals.
Ocean4Biotech participated in the conference to highlight the potential of marine bioresources and the role of research and innovation in advancing marine biotechnology. The event provided a platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing scientific insights, and exploring how marine organisms and their biological compounds can inspire innovative applications across different sectors.
Beyond showcasing scientific advances, the conference offered valuable opportunities to engage with the scientific and aquaculture communities, establish new connections, and exchange ideas on the sustainable use of aquatic resources.
Through its participation in Aquaculture Europe 2026, Ocean4Biotech continues to raise awareness of marine biotechnology and foster collaboration that supports research, innovation, and the sustainable development of the blue bioeconomy.
